Cookie Policy

What I store in your browser, why, and how you can manage it.

Last updated: 2026-07-03

This page explains, simply, what cookies and similar technologies the coruz.pt website uses. It complements my Privacy Policy.

1. What is a cookie

A cookie is a small text file stored in your browser when you visit a website, used to remember preferences or recognise the device on subsequent visits.

2. Cookies and technologies I currently use

I use the following technologies:

  • Language preference (PT/FR/EN): stored in the browser's local storage, it is not a tracking cookie and does not identify the visitor. (Essential.)
  • Theme preference (light/dark): also stored in local storage, for the same reason. (Essential.)
  • Google Analytics 4 (third-party cookies, Google): collect aggregated usage statistics (page views, traffic source, device type) to help me understand how the site is used and improve it. These cookies last up to 2 years and the data is processed by Google. (Analytics, only with your consent.)
  • Cal.com: when you interact with the scheduling widget, Cal.com may set its own cookies, managed directly by Cal.com and subject to its own policy. (Functional.)

3. Managing preferences and consent

Essential cookies are required for the site to work. Analytics cookies (Google Analytics) are only enabled with your consent. You can accept or withdraw that consent here, at any time, without leaving the page:

You can also control your preferences in the following ways:

  • Refuse/clear analytics cookies: you can block or delete them in your browser's privacy settings, or install the Google Analytics opt-out add-on.
  • Language and theme preference: you can clear them at any time in your browser's storage settings.
  • Cal.com cookies: managed in Cal.com's own cookie preferences, presented when you use the widget.

Consent for analytics cookies is requested in advance, through a consent banner shown on your first visit: Google Analytics is only enabled after you accept. Until you accept (or if you decline), no analytics cookie is set, as required by applicable law (GDPR and ePrivacy).

4. Changes to this policy

I may update this policy whenever the way I use cookies or similar technologies changes. The version in force is always the one published on this page.
